Glass Whispers
The sands of time, once spun so high,
Have whispered down, a teardrop sigh.
Like rushing streams, they met their end,
In ocean's grasp, where moments bend.

Each second felt a weary year,
On paths of dusk, with hope unclear.
My dreams, like fragile embers glowed,
Too weak to mend the fate I owed.

The pendulum's harsh, metallic chime,
Echoed gears in fading time.
A clockwork soul, soon to unwind,
Leaving no trace, no form behind.

Time ebbs away, its breath grows faint,
Will I, like it, meet final faint?
The waves engulf this arid shore,
Where I have walked, and loved, and mourned.

No flight, no chase, can cheat the night,
Death's whisper chills, a fading light.
Too late to mend, too late to hide,
In stardust, I must gently slide.
