A Poem :: Reunion Toasts and Laughter
Laughter swirls like champagne flutes,
Familiar faces in unfamiliar suits.
We were girls in faded jeans and dreams,
Now women etched with life's extremes.
The years, like fallen petals, mark the floor,
Whispering stories only we could adore.
First heartbreaks, triumphs on the field,
Secrets shared, promises concealed.
Aira's smile hides the mom she's grown to be,
Her eyes still hold a spark that sets me free.
Gwenn's laugh rings with a CEO's command,
The girl who led now takes a different stand.
The dance floor beckons, old songs on repeat,
We twirl with grace, then stumble on our feet.
The joy of rediscovery, bonds unfurled,
Our friendship, aged like wine, enriching our world.
Tonight, beneath the twinkling, starry sky,
We raise a toast, tears of laughter in our eye.
To the girls we were, the women we became,
Our sisterhood, enduring through life's changing flame.
