Annie Axolotl accurately allots aerial ambushes;
Bella Buffalo barrels and blunders brashly by.
Charlie Cat curates carefully crafted candy;
Debbie Donkey develops demographic data.
Ernie Elephant eats energizing peanuts;
Freddy Fly flusters everyone frustratingly.
Greta Giraffe gobbles green leaves;
Harry Hornet hovers horrifyingly overhead.
Irma Ibis inches along the inlet;
Jerry Jackal jumps across a puddle.
Kelly Kangaroo keeps her joey kozy in a pouch;
Lanie Llama weaves loopy scarves on looms.
Mikey Mouse meanders through moldy mansions;
Nonna Newt nibbles on unnoticeable novelties.
Olga Orangutan orders affordable oranges on Amazon;
Peter Penguin perennially plots global takeover.
Queenie Quokka quietly quotes quirky queries;
Ronnie Rabbit relishes rolling valleys of clover.
Stevie Sandpiper strolls along the seashore;
Tippy Toucan dexterously taps his tail.
Ursula Ungulate usually chews her cud;
Vinnie Vulture veers voraciously downwind.
Winnie Whale wanders the waves off Wales;
Xavier Fox Xeroxes zero zoom notes.
Yoyo Yak yells enlightening yarns, and
Zippy Zebra Zens out zealously.

The Alphabestiary a type of Acrostic or more specifically an Alphabet poem, which dates back to Greece in the 2nd and 3rd centuries but truly came into its own in medieval England. There is no required line length, meter, or rhyme scheme. The only requirement is that each letter of the alphabet is described poetically as an animal or in human terms.
