Kitchen
Prompt: The kitchen is a castle in itself where families gather and talk and share memories. We were asked to write how we feel about our kitchen.
My kitchen isn't a castle. I don't like my kitchen and I don't like to cook. My refrigerator is 2 years old. My microwave and dishwasher along with my stove are 4 years old. I have pretty itched designs on my frosted cabinets. They are beautiful. I don't have enough shelf space. I got an extra cabinet that holds dish rags, towels and other items. I have a Ree Drummond Barbie Doll Kitchen Set in the box on my counter. I have a ceramic teddy bear cookie jar, ceramic bunny cookie jar, flowers in baskets, blue and white ceramic dishes and knick knacks on top of the cabinets. I have a white cat cookie jar and matching kittens. I have a snowman cookie jar. I have a beautiful cherry wood dining room table.
I have all types of dishes. I have hand soap dispensers in my kitchen window. I have a lighthouse lace curtain on the window. I have an owl Teapot and a cow cookie jar on top of the cabinets.
I use my Crock pot and microwave a lot. I do love to bake.
My castle room is my front room. I have my books out there. A white wicker couch and wicker rocking chair. I put my tree out there every year. I have a faux fireplace and a picture of a Princess knighting a knight. I have a card table where I do my scrapbooking. I have dolls out there and snowbabues and 2 doll houses.
Back to the kitchen. I need a different kitchen. I need more room but I get by. It is decorated nice so I can deal with it. I am not Martha Stewart when it comes to cooking. I am when it comes to crafts. So, this what 2 of my rooms look like.
