About This Author
I am a 40 year old married mother of two teenage boys. I live for writing, especially romance. Love the happily ever after scenerio. The best thing about writing for me is the ability to lose yourself in your work, and feel as if you've accomplished something great. At the end of the day, that's all that really matters.

Purple Rain
Tears cascade down your face like rain and I know your heart is breaking. So many things get twisted and turned as a fight turns ugly and we use words to lash out and hurt each other. Don’t you see it hurts me too? That my heart is shattering like glass as our vicious exchange races through my mind, trying to make sense of all that’s gone wrong. Oh, what I wouldn’t give for one of your smiles. Just one little lift of the corner of your mouth to let me know that everything will be all right. That all that we’ve found together isn’t lost.
For that’s what would hurt the most—losing you would hurt the most. You need to know that I never meant to cause you any sorrow. I never meant to cause you any pain. When I’ve hurt you with the things I say and do, it pains me just as much as you. As if I’m looking in the mirror and all you’re going through reflects to me. I could say I’m sorry, drop down on my knees and beg for your forgiveness, swear I’ll never do it again. Would that be enough? Is that what it takes to not lose your love? I’d do that in a heartbeat.
Just take my hand and let me guide you to that place where the pain fades away, rain pours down, cleansing our souls, and there you will see how good it can be. Beneath the magic Purple Rain where we both are free, where time stands still, and there’s only you and me.

"Purple Rain"
I never meant to cause you any sorrow
I never meant to cause you any pain
I only wanted one time to see you laughing
I only want to see you laughing in the purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
I only want to see you bathing in the purple rain
I never wanted to be your weekend lover
I only wanted to be some kind of friend
Baby, I could never steal you from another
It's such a shame our friendship had to end
Purple rain, purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
I only want to see you underneath the purple rain
Honey I know, I know, I know times are changing
It's time we all reach out for something new
That means you too
You say you want a leader
But you can't seem to make up your mind
I think you better close it
And let me guide you to the purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
If you know what I'm singing about up here
C'mon, raise your hand
Purple rain, purple rain
I only want to see you, only want to see you
In the purple rain
