Getting Lost
Prompt: We are supposed to write about a time we got lost.

Which story do you want to hear? Mom and I were shopping in Merrillville, Indiana, 2 hours from Chicago. At the stop light, I made a wrong turn and ended up in Crown Point, Indiana where Dillinger used to hang out. I was lost. I asked directions to get back to the Mall. I stopped at a convience store and a man was behind glass! They get shot at and robbed a lot there. Maybe John Dillinger's descendants rob them? I was scared. I was glad to get back to Merrillville.

Another time. Mom and I went to Michigan City, Indiana and took a wrong turn by the lake. Lake Michigan. We ended up by the prison. Yikes! Men escape from there all the time. Luckily, no one had escaped. We went past it 3 times! We had our car doors locked. We finally got back to where we wanted to go.

Mom and I got lost at night in the country. I took a wrong turn like always. We kept driving around and I saw the cross all lit up on top of the church we go to and knew where I was. Thank you, Lord!

I am good at getting lost. At least I find my way back.
