Sometimes we mourn the living

Ghosted. I have had friends that drift away from me. I am retired and all the friends I had from work, I get Christmas cards from some of them. They don't text or call me. They are busy with their lives but I miss them. My son moved to Oregon. I hear from him but I miss him. I have friends here. I appreciate them. This poem makes yo think and miss people. I wish everyone well. I have a couple of friends I get to see and people at Church. I enjoy them and am thankful but I think of past friends and good memories. Enjoy what you have and all the friends you have had. I do. Sometimes, past friends are like ghosts. They are alive but have moved on and maybe they think of you, too like you do them.
