I Have No Regrets
Here's another song composed by my sister. It was written in the Cebuano dialect. Cebuano or Bisaya is the first and the native dialect I speak. My second language is Tagalog/Filipino (our national language) and my third language is English.

The song is entitled "Wala Ko Nagmahay" which I translated to "I Have No Regrets". I will place the translation below each original line for your reference. Also, I added the link to her recording. The quality of the audio isn't that good because my sister recorded it using her mobile phone while outside our house. She only used our old Ukulele to accompany her music.

Wala Ko Nagmahay
Composed and performed by: Cindy R. Labe
Translated by: Jose Gervic R. Labe, Jr.

Wala 'ko nagmahay
(I have no regrets)
'Ning sitwasyon ron nato Bai
(In this situation, I never fret)
Kasubo antoson
(This sorrow, I will endure)
Kalipay lang 'gyud maangkon.
(To rejoice and enrapture)

Lain-laig kinabuhi
(A plethora of life)
Usahay gani ma-apeke
(We sometimes fail on our strife.)
Pagsalig og pagsabot
(Simply trust and understand)
Gugma lang 'gyud ang itugot.
(That in love we all stand.)

Padayun's unahan
(Keep moving forward)
Bisag usahay makapoyan
(Though tiring and things seem hard,)
Salig sa Ginoo
(Trust in the Lord above)
Makab-ot lang 'gyud atong gusto.
(And we can get the things we love.)

Huna-hunaon sa makadaghan
(Think many times, think it o’er)
Bahalag pobre, basta kusgan
(Be steadfast while we’re poor.)
Puhon kita makalampos
(Someday, we will succeed)
Sa tanan natong mga pag-antos.
(All these sufferings, we dare not heed.)

Wala ako nagmahay
(I have no regrets)
'Ning sitwasyon ron nato bai
(In this situation, never yet)
Kining tanan mga pagsulay (2x)
(These are only to assess)
Busa kita dili mulikay.
(Neither shy away nor be repressed.)

Atubangon nato ni Bai (2x)
(This hardship, together we will face)
Kay kining tanan lumalabay (2x).
(Because this will all pass in a haste.)

Thank you for reading this.
