Prompt: We Are Mad Here-Where cats wag their tails when angry and growl when pleased. Write about a day when everything was completely opposite to what you expect.
I got up like I always do. I fed my cat but she covered-
up her food. Note to self: No more beef and shrimp mix for
kitty. The farmer was out in the field and when he left, his
combine hit the telephone pole. My internet was down for the day.
I looked outside and a deer had eaten my flowers and some bunnies
ate my carrot garden. It started to rain and the wind blew and my
trash cans blew away. My mail box blew away. Things calmed down.
I saw a corn stalk grow legs and walk off. Say what? What a day.
I called to get my internet repaired. I went to town and bought a new
mailbox. I come home and my cat had broken one of my tea sets. I cleaned
up the mess. I had lunch. My tuna looked green. This can't be good.
The UPS Man left me a package. Surprise! A new tea set from The Mad Hatter!
I looked out the window and saw my walking corn stalk. It was a wild turkey
carrying a corn stalk. Something blew down from the sky. A miniature UFO! I
looked at it and it fly back up in the air and into a power line. I called
the police. Firemen, police and men from the Air Force showed up. What a mess!
The UFO was a child's toy. I made lunch. I had a roast and corn.
Not an exciting lunch but it wan't green. My cat bought me a milk
ring and she looked blue. Why is she blue? I looked around and she
had gotten into my blue star ointment. I washed her off. Lovely.
I sat down to watch TV. A white rabbit is in my yard. It is getting
dark. I can see Saturn and I see the rings. I looked at the rings and
saw Prince singing Purple Rain. That new nerve pill is working for
me. I saw a moon on the moon, he waved at me. He is cute. He is green.
I watched the new Downton Abbey movie. I am going to relax and go to
bed. The Mad Hatter left me some green tea. He will see me tomorrow his
note said. I hope he looks like Johnny Depp. I am going to bed. I blow a
kiss to the man in the moon. I hope tomorrow is a calmer day all way round.
