August, Mixed Emotions
Prompt: August is always a month of mixed emotions. Did I make the most of my summer? Am I ready for the fall and the holidays?
My summer. I haven't done much. My mother and I are gone shopping this week. We want to go Lake Michigan and have our yearly picnic. I don't go to the fair anymore or tractor shows. I spend a lot of time at home. I don't plant flowers. I have arthritis knee pain and am getting that treated and I hope to be good for the winter.I don't look forward to Fall but I love autumn. I don't like winter. I DREAD THAT! I will go to the Kate Spade Store when I go to the Beach. There is a neat outside Mall near by. Life is changed since Covid so that's why I am home a lot. Retiring has been a disappointment. Health issues slow you down. I pray things go back to normal. If I get my trip to the Beach, I saw the new Downton Abbey New Era movie so my summer should be complete. Winter. I will just deal with it. I do love Christmas but I am not quite ready for that.I will enjoy the rest of the summer.
