Thanksgiving

Prompt: We could take the day off from writing an entry but I decided to write about Thanksgiving.

My father died and we had his funeral yesterday. My son is here with his wife from Oregon. My husband, mother, son and his wife and I are having Thanksgiving at my house. My son is making cornbread dressing. My mother is baking a pumpkin pie. My daughter-in-law is making gravy. My husband and I are making the turkey and the trimmings. I baked a Funfetti Cake.

It will be sad without Dad but he will be with us in spirit.
