Love's Enduring Light
Love's Enduring Light
A poem dedicated to my parents
Hands once strong, now etched with time,
Faces lined, where smiles still climb.
Eyes that held a youthful gleam,
Now softly hold a weathered dream.
Voices hushed, where laughter rang,
Their whispered words like birdsong sang.
The steps that carried worlds so wide,
Now gently pace with softened stride.
The hearts that beat with love so bright,
Hold tender years in fading light.
Their strength a beacon, brave and bold,
A legacy in stories to be told.
To you, my parents, old and dear,
Your love transcends each fleeting year.
The roots you planted, deep and true,
Within my soul forever grew.
Let me hold the hands that guided mine,
And honor the love that made me shine.
For in your age, a beauty lies,
Reflected in my grateful eyes.
