Pete’s Pizza
Pete dusted flour off his hands, staring despondently at his cluttered larder shelves.
"How did I forget tomato sauce? I can't make a prizewinning pizza without it!"
He pushed aside spice jars, baking soda, and accumulated cooking accoutrements, searching for a possible substitute.
He found a gigantic family size container of chocolate sprinkles, dust layered on the lid.
"It's so crazy it might work!"

Crowds gathered around Pete's Chocolate Sauce Veggie Pizza at the festival.
"Ingenious!"
"Yum!"
"Mom, can we make one at home?"
The judge waved a blue ribbon.
"Pete displayed prizewinning creativity!"
Sometimes it pays to be forgetful.
