Wings
Gratitude's a subtle thing
Taking flight on angel wings
Showing us there's more to see
Oh, what a blessing life can be.
The air we breathe, the words we say
Every moment of every day
Dreams abound in minds alive
We think, we plan, we work and thrive.
Always aware of what we have
We share a smile and a laugh.
Though hardships often bring us lack
They never ever hold us back
From reaching for the sky and stars
And thanking God we've come this far.
