Lost & Found
Opposites alike in every way,
Two sisters bonding day by day.
A life shared, yet torn asunder—
Her icy touch reveals a wonder.
Run fast and far, to do no harm—
Stay away from hearts too warm.
Snow castles, sudden winter's sky—
Her sister follows, asking why.
Solitary life in one's own walls—
Better to hide than risk the fall.
But where is love when one's alone?
An empty heart can't fill the throne.
Love was present all along—
When acknowledged, fear is gone.
Then sunshine breaks through blizzard clouds
Ice becomes a gift to scatter 'round.
Hearts warm and close keep love alive
Walls are broken, people thrive.
Glistening treasures, snowflakes flutter
Family restored is like no other.
20 lines, 119 words. AABB rhyme.
Inspired by the Disney movie Frozen.
Prompt: include the words Snow, Ice and Glistening.
