Matter
I stand at the precipice of Nature’s enduring power, staring into a craggy, sun-scarred abyss. A once-mighty river carved its name into history with relentless perseverance; a quality I’ve never contained in all my multitudes.
I wonder what it would be like to leave such a lasting legacy on this planet, long after I’m gone. But I’d first have to make a name for myself, and the truth is that I inherited my name from average people in average places doing average things. World-changing isn’t an adjective that often applies to accounting majors who work retail.
I shout it out loud
so it echoes long and proud
“You can still matter”
