Rollercoaster
"Rollercoaster"
by Bleachers
DAY 12 — Until this year, I did not know that super-producer Jack Antonoff (the producing partner behind many of Taylor Swift's hits) had his own side project band called Bleachers, or that they've been making music for literally years and years. I really love the fact that they have different sounds to each of their albums, and they really do seem to be a creative outlet for Jack to work on whatever's in his head at the time, whether it's more pop-inspired, rock-inspired, or something else entirely. I also really like "Call Me After Midnight" and listened to that song a lot this year, but "Rollercoaster" ended up at the top of my most-listened to songs, so I decided to feature it. And as an added bonus, the video is pretty fun. It's a unique twist on the romantic pursuit genre of music videos. I like the fact that Jack Antonoff can seemingly laugh at himself.
