Day At The Zoo
My husband and I went to the Zoo today. We haven't been to one in a long time. I loved going. The Zoo is in South Bend, Indiana where Notre Dame is. This puts South Bend on the map.

We rode a train around the zoo. After we got off, we saw a couple of zebras, two lions{When I said: "Kitty! Kitty!" The one lion looked up at me. I guess Kitty, Kitty means the same in any language for big or little cats.} We saw a beautiful white tiger who looked right at us. There was also a tiger that was orange like your usual tigers. There were zebras. There was also black swans who kept chasing mallard ducks out of the pond. I yelled at them to stop that! My husband said:"Yeah, like they are going to listen to you and stop!" We saw a little jungle cat, an awful big snake behind glass. {I HATE SNAKES!} I got to pet some goats and one tried to eat my shirt! There were all kind of cute monkeys. There was also a spotted leopard. There were cranes, a black bear, a lizard, some horses and pigs. There were also some bats. I especially loved the land turtles. Some of them were huge! They walked around in the grass and one was burying himself in the mud. The prairie dogs were so cute. They were digging holes! The kangaroos and wallabees were so cute, too. We walked around a cement path but weren't allowed on the grass where they were.

We enjoyed our day at the Zoo. I bought a stuffed white tiger. White tigers are so rare and I just love them.I am like a kid when it comes to going to a Zoo. Sometimes, I think that I should have been a worker at a Zoo or have my own animal rescue center. I love animals that much! Zoos. I am so glad that are Zoos for animals. Hopefully, we will be going to the Zoo in Indy one of these days. That is a bigger Zoo. I hope that you all love animals like I do. Later. Love: Megan
