About This Author
I am a 40 year old married mother of two teenage boys. I live for writing, especially romance. Love the happily ever after scenerio. The best thing about writing for me is the ability to lose yourself in your work, and feel as if you've accomplished something great. At the end of the day, that's all that really matters.

New siggie

This is my new siggie. Isn't it awesome? I can think of nothing better than spending my gift points on cool custom signatures and reviewing great work. It's my favorite thing to do. So thank you kelly1202 for the wondful signature. I love everything about it. Visit her Sig shop and if you don't see anything you're looking for, she'll gladly make a custom one for you too!

It's another warm day here in Michigan, and the Red Wing game is going get under way in about an hour. You can find me sitting in front of the television, hoping that they win this one. They need to. Damn, I hate the anxiety before a game. But it never fails to make the game exciting. Hey, hey, hockeytown---Wings will be moving forward!

It never ceases to amaze me how people become quite bold hiding behind their computer screens. I get that the anonymity of being in cyber space gives some their voice that they normally wouldn't show others. But shit people, this isn't high school. I was actually glad to leave that irritating part behind. So last night, my usual Saturday hang out is chat. I need to unwind, love to chat with other writers. What I don't want, is people ganging up on others. If that is what I did want, then I'd go to my son's high school and spend a day watching from the shadows. This is a community, and one that I am thrilled to be a part of. Chat is a social place where we can post links to our work, meet new people and have a frickin laugh.

Coming into the chat room for the first time, and immediately making waves because others have pointed out that some of us have reputations that preceed us is just tacky. Grow up! And I wasn't impressed with how it all went down. Everyone screws up. It's part of life. If you are going to be bold enough to voice your opinion on the entire room, then at least have the decency to apologize to the entire room. Not just one person was offended by this action. Sending a private message of apology in chat is just plain irritating. Even though the comments weren't directed at me, it pissed me off. So much so, that I made my own damn room. Partly so I could up the rating so I could swear and bring up any topic of conversation without getting booted in a 13+ chat room. But mostly because I didn't go into chat looking for drama and confrontation.

What is that old saying?? ............Oh yes, If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. What wise advice. *Wink*
