Shot in the Back
Tomorrow I get an epidural.
Apparently one of the treatments for the particular kind of agonizing back and leg pain that I endure is to get a shot of cortizone directly into the nerve.
If it hurts as much as it sounds like it will, it probably won't hurt as much as the sciatica does now. But it'll still hurt like a bitch. Maybe I should bring a bullet to bite.
Supposedly, the steroid injection keeps the inflammation down, which in turn reduces the pain.
I sure hope so.
I sure hope it's worth it.
Twelve more days before I go on vacation. If I'm in pain over my vacation, I'm going to be seriously pissed off. |
