About This Author
I am a 40 year old married mother of two teenage boys. I live for writing, especially romance. Love the happily ever after scenerio. The best thing about writing for me is the ability to lose yourself in your work, and feel as if you've accomplished something great. At the end of the day, that's all that really matters.

Sad Friday
It's boggles my mind to think that a place I spent a year at, became a crime scene today. Henry Ford Community College was the scene of a murder-suicide today. A 28 year-old male came into the building where his 20 year-old girlfriend was rehearsing. He pulled out his shot gun, killed her, and then turned the gun on himself. What a waste.
I will never comprehend why people think it's okay to take another life - unless it's in self defense.
My thoughts and prayers are with the young woman's family. My community is sitting in disbelief, having something so tragic hit us right between the eyes.
It's a senseless crime. Has no purpose. I've read blogs already where students have posted comments stating they are terrified of returning to the campus, others want to switch schools, while still a few are seemingly unaffected. Where do we go from here? If you have the answer, kindly let the rest of us know.
Maxine had a great quote today, but in light of this tragedy, I am refraining from posting it.
Hold those you love close.
Remember the ones you've already lost. |
