About This Author
I am a 40 year old married mother of two teenage boys. I live for writing, especially romance. Love the happily ever after scenerio. The best thing about writing for me is the ability to lose yourself in your work, and feel as if you've accomplished something great. At the end of the day, that's all that really matters.

17 Years
Hard to believe that 17 years ago tonight Zak came into the world. Happy birthday, my boy. It's been an amazing ride with you. Watching you grow into a young man, well you've managed to exceed all my expectations. My favorite thing - sitting in another room and suddenly, this laughter fills the house - Zak's boisterous laugh is contagious. He had quite the eventful day as well. I woke him up late so the poor kid had to rush to get out the door on time (yeah, well I did get DD sent out). First hour, never got his test back. Why? He forgot to put his name on it. Second hour, caught between two friends and had to break up a fight in the locker room. He has the scratches to prove it, his friends, suspended. During Lunch, he became a Senior and picked up his Senior Tshirt - the front says SEN10RS - the back - Peace Out. Tis pretty cool. During 5th hour, the rival high school seniors showed up, egging cars, driving like idiots outside the school, screaming and yelling. Cops were called. 6th hour he had to present his book report, not a moment for him to breathe and have fun, lol. I did make the dinner he requested - hamburgers on the grill. He's not a fan of cake, so we headed to Dairy Queen. Not too shabby
Work is getting busy again. Actually saw hubby turn away a big job. Can't do everything before we leave. Getting swamped now just means we'll be exhausted and looking to run away. Well, truth be told, we are. LOL. We are so close to being done with the shopping escapades. Just a few little things to get. My poor Papasan chair can no longer been seen. It's covered in bags and clothes. We gave up the search for luggage. Hard to find the sizes we need, so I bought two pieces off the internet that were affordable. Should be delievered early next week, and then we're set.
Today's song......compliments of the birthday boy. So get up and dance.
