About This Author
I am a 40 year old married mother of two teenage boys. I live for writing, especially romance. Love the happily ever after scenerio. The best thing about writing for me is the ability to lose yourself in your work, and feel as if you've accomplished something great. At the end of the day, that's all that really matters.

Impossible
Sigh. Well hell. I swear I paid attention. So where was everyone else who were supposed to correct me, figure out my blatant mistake and save me from having to tell everyone what a huge mistake I'd made????
I knew we were to fly home on the 30th, said it a million and one times. But somehow, only God knows, I tagged Friday as the 30th. If hubby hadn't have asked me to pull out the paperwork so we could call the airlines and try to extend Zak and Danny's visit, I wouldn't have seen where I wrote down Thursday the 30th.
What fun it is to have to tell everyone that we have only one day left. NOT. I feel like I had the rug ripped right out from under me. Having to tell the boys, not a fun task. Needless to say, I spent most of the day crying, saying goodbyes, and feeling like total shit. Technically, tomorrow is an extra day, since we were orignally scheduled to depart on the 29th, but that flight was canceled. Guess I should be thankful, but I'll save that for another today. Just not this one.
When I called the airlines, I asked if we could postpone our departure for one week. The man said IMPOSSIBLE! Flights in and out of Lebanon are just not available. Hang up the phone, rant, cry, apologize to hub, make some calls. A few minutes later, I hear hubby shocked and talking outloud to the tv. I ask what's up. He tells me that 5 million visitors have decended on this tiny little country. It's no wonder I can't find a seat. So they are looking into doing something to help accomadate all these people. I hope it means adding more flights, and expanding the airport. Both would be a bonus for me.
My kids made a movie with their cousins, and we watched it as a group tonight. I loved it. It's totally amazing what they were able to come up with on their first time out. The credits were hilarious, as was the added ending of Zakariya dancing. Danny says he's going to post it on youtube once we're home, so I'll be sure to link it. I swear it's worth watching.
Guess that's all I got. Probably won't blog until I'm back in the States. |
