Old penitentiary
Abandoned to decay
Rotten and forgotten
The joint slowly crumbles
Purpose misbegotten
Old penitentiary
Was once legendary
Inspiring great fear
In crooks both big and small
Sentencing most severe
 
Old penitentiary
Ghosts of long dead inmates
Stalk along the dark halls
In pursuit of revenge
But trapped within these walls
Old penitentiary
Run down, falling apart
Just a matter of time
Until it becomes nil
Which might be the worst crime
