Christmas Miracle
Prompt: Have you experienced a miracle at Christmas or any time of year?
This is a hard one but I will try. Every year for four or five years, I saw a shining star in the sky ten days before Christmas. I know it was the star of Jesus. I believe in signs and unusual things. A few nights before my Birthday December 21, 2000, I saw the shining star again and there was a green mist around it. December 20, 1999, my house burned down. My husband was putting gas in the tractor and static electricity caused the fire. The miracle here? My husband and I got out safely and I rescued my cat. I was upset and so was my husband. Photo Albums, a lot of my dolls, my jewelry and other things were salvaged. Friends, family and strangers gave us food and money so I guess this could be a miracle. This time of year around Christmas, the fire is still in my mind. We have rebuild and over come illnesses and life does go on. God and Jesus were there for us. I have never seen the shining star again. I have seen a shining cross in a cloud a year ago. I am not sure why I saw it but I am religious even though I need to be more religious. I pray and hope I will be.
I guess that is all I can think of. I have heard stories of lost pets coming home at Christmas and that is always beautiful or poor families getting a basket of food and money from unknown sources. I have heard of people driving on Christmas through a terrible blizzard and making it home. Some people have been cured of a deadly illness at Christmas. I do believe in Christmas miracles. I hope those who need one get one.
