What Made You Think Of The Past Today?

Prompt: What made you think of the past today?

I read about a house fire in the fictional book I was reading about a cat that had nine lives. This was his last life. He lived and so did the people in the book. This made me think of the past. My husband and I had a house fire thirteen years ago and this got to me. I have tried to forget about the house fire but something always comes back to remind me especially this time of year. The fire happened the day before my Birthday and four days before Christmas. Some things you never forget.
