Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts
Boy Scouts Day February 8 Girl Scouts Day is October 31st Prompt: Do you feel Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts are helpful organizations for today's children? Do they still meet the needs of our children in this electronic age focused world? Were you a girl scout or boy scout? If you were, share an adventure you had in scouting.

Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts are nice organizations for today's children. With the right dedicated leaders, children can learn a variety of things, have fun and something to look forward to. It will keep them off electronics games for awhile. Kids spend too much time with electronic games but I need to stay focused.

I was a girl scout. We had scheduled a camping trip but didn't go. This is one thing girl scouts do but not the troops I was in. We sold cookies and calendars. We made spice balls and no bake cookies. We made a fire on a windy day but it stayed contained. The one girl scout leader took us to the Miss Indiana Pageant two years in a row. We got to meet the former Miss Indiana and have Pepsi with her. We got her autograph on a nice picture of her. We took a First Aid course. We worked on Merit Badges. When the girls in high school, they would talk about boys, ignored the scout leader and were no longer interested in scouts. I started to join other high school activities so I was no longer interested in girl scouts. I have never met any women who stayed in girl scouts in high school.
