Was Darcy scared of Elizabeth's confidence or obnoxious in making contact with the3 country girl with the engaging eyes when he first met her?

Darcy thought Elizabeth was a wanna be society lady of the Ton and not particularly handsome. Her beautiful eyes and smile and confidence scare him because she wasn't swarming over him. She felt comfortable with her place in society and she wasn't intimidated by Darcy. He looked into her eyes and saw beauty and he was the one who felt out of place. He was too proud to admit it. She called him out without saying a word. She thought him handsome but she wasn't impressed. This had to bother Darcy. He knew he was obnoxious and he did fall in love with her. A handsome, rich man who realized his failings when he looked into Elizabeth's eyes. The country girl had won his heart
