Normal
Prompt: What does Normal mean to you?

I work in mental health. One woman said voices told her to kill herself. Another woman said she saw demon eyes looking at her from her Tote Bag. She also said there was a man outside her window wearing old fashioned clothes taking pictures of her. I walked into a woman's room and she was wearing a Wedding Dress that her sister had given her. One man said we had three black bears and a mountain lion out in the field near our facility. We have no black bears or mountain lions in Indiana.

Normal. To me, normal means not hearing voices. I don't see things or hallucinate except when I was on Morphine after my surgery. I live in reality. After being around the people I take care of, I know what normal is. I am in touch with reality. I write fiction and like vampires, Medieval times, gypsies, pirates and am curious about time travel. Writers can have vivid imaginations as long as these things don't happen for real. Maybe they will happen. Scientists are weird. Are they normal? I don't think so. Only a shrink knows for sure. This is my story and I am sticking to it.
