Day The Music Died
Prompt: Write about the day the music died.
There were two of them. John Lennon and George Harrison.
When John Lennon died, I stayed in my room for three days. I worked midnights. I came out of my room to use the bathroom, get something to eat and I sleep during the day. I went to work. I played the Beatles music. The Beatles have always been my favorite band. They were the first music I ever listened to and the first album I ever owned was by: The Beatles. John Lennon's death was a shock. The Beatles were the best band ever. I love other music but I will always have a soft special place in my heat for The Beatles. Who doesn't know John, Paul, Ringo and George?
George Harrison was my favorite Beatle. He was cute and I loved watching him in "A Hard Day's Night" and "Help." He had that certain smile. I was taking a Free Lance Writing Class and I wrote an essay about George. I got a 90 on it. I was happy with that. When George died, I handled things differently. I was married. I didn't stay in my room for three days but writing the essay about him helped. I played the Beatles music and his music.
Paul and Ringo are still alive but I still miss George. John, too. When Paul and Ringo had a special awhile back and were singing together, John and George should have been there. They were great together. The Beatles. Their music lives on.
