Blue Monday

Prompt: Write a short story or poem about Blue Monday.

I guess Blue Monday is blue because it is the start of the work week for most people. I work in a mental health facility and we are open 24,7. I work every other weekend. After the weekend I work, I get Monday off. This means I can relax. This means blue skies to me and promise of a happy week. I will be off five nights this week as my husband, mother and I are going to Frankenmuth, Michigan to the Christmas Store. After having a good weekend and going back to work Monday, that usually means Blue Monday for me. I take it Blue Monday means sad. This is how I figured it. Sending smiles everyone's way.
