Going Offline Tomorrow!
I'm just about 24 hours away from boarding my flight to Brazil, which means it's time to start wrapping things up around here. I still have a newsletter I need to finish, a few contest entries to judge, and some other odds and ends to take care of before I leave tomorrow, but I'm in the final stretch! 
One of the goals I have for myself during this trip is to unplug as much as possible. Even though I'm sure there will be internet access from time to time, I really want to break out of my routines and recharge my batteries, especially since I'm reaching that point where my enthusiasm is low and I'm starting to drag a little.
As a result, I'm going to be away from Writing.Com until August 16th, which I'm pretty sure is the longest break I've taken from this site since becoming a yellow case six years ago. It's rare for me to go more than a day without checking in here ... and even when I go on trips, I still check in every couple of days. So it's going to be a bit of an adjustment and a definite challenge to try to stay away for half a month!
If all goes to plan, the only time I'll be (briefly) online is to upload my weekly piece of writing and send my one review for "I Write in June-July-August "  . Other than that, I'm trying to avoid all email, IMs, review requests, activities, group obligations, etc. The rest of it will have to wait until I get back.
I will miss you all while I'm gone, but I'm looking forward to coming back refreshed, rejuvenated, and ready to get rocking again! See you all in a couple weeks ... and behave while I'm gone!  |
