Checking In & Checking Out

This is going to be a short blog post because I find myself between obligations at the moment. First of all, my trip to Brazil was amazing. It was an incredible experience that I will probably carry with me for the rest of my life. That said, I haven't really had a chance to say much about it because it took me over a week to dig myself out from under the avalanche of stuff to do that I came back to at work. No sooner had I managed to catch up on everything, but I got called for jury duty. And not "check the website once a day and see if they need you" jury duty; the kind where you have to report to the courthouse... the kind where I got selected to be part of a 100+ person juror pool for an actual trial... the kind where I got picked to be on the jury and now have to miss approximately ten days of work to listen to testimony and see the presentation of evidence.

So this is really a blog post about not being able to post too many blog entries for another few weeks. *Pthb* But hey, Elle - on hiatus challenged me as part of the "Invalid Item, and I've never been one to back down from a challenge. *Smirk*

I'll have evenings and weekends and Fridays off from court so I won't be completely MIA like I was while in Brazil... but since I have to be in court during the day, that means I won't actually be able to be on WdC all day long like I am when I'm usually at work. *Wink* So please bear with me if it takes a while to respond to some of your requests and correspondence. When I'm done with the jury service, I'm going to have a whole lot to write about, I'm sure! *Smile*
