Blog City Prompt: They say you can't go home again{after leaving a home you grew up in.} Do you agree?

Yes ands no. I lived in eight different houses growing up when Dad was in the Air Force. We went back to Tennessee and saw our house we lived in. Someone else lived there. It looked the same but it was no longer ours. Mom and Dad moved to another house in Arkansas after Dad got stationed there again. I was gone from Arkansas for a year and things were different. My best friend had moved. I was visiting my parents with my grandparents. I stayed in Indiana with my grandparents because I was in Junior Miss, going to be in Thespian Society and I had reconnected with my old friends and Dad was back from Viet Nam. He was going to retire that year. The high school was a big school and I never got to be in activities so I decided I had everything going for me in Indiana so I spent my Senior Year with my grandparents. I had made the right choice.

My grandparents died years ago and their house was old and not overly attractive but it was home. My cousin lives there now and it looks like a house out of country Living Magazine. It doesn't feel like the house I spent most of my growing up years in. Mom and Dad got their own house and it is 40 years old. My canopy bed is still there. Mom doesn't use my lavender sheets anymore. My Miss Indiana Teen-Ager Plaque and Top High School Local News Reporter Plaque still hangs on the wall. Mom and Dad have bought new furniture over then years. It looks like the house I lived in for 5 years after high school but it has changed.

My modular house is my second house. Our first house burned down. Static electricity. My husband was putting gas in his tractor in the garage and our house caught on fire. Sometimes I miss the other house but this house is bigger and we have a room addition that I love. It is my favorite room.

Can you go home again? Yes if this is where your heart is. Home is where the heart is

BCOF Prompt: What season bests fits your personality?

Autumn. It borders between summer and fall. The colors on the leaves change. I wear different colors when seasons change. Rain and chilly. I am happy in autumn and winter depression sets in. I love the rain. The rain is relaxing and soothing. I feel relaxed in autumn. Autumn is beautiful. When I dress up, I feel beautiful. Pumpkins on the porch. I get lazy and like to feel that I can be a pumpkin sitting on a porch. Call me autumn.
