Valentines Day Cards
Prompt: Lyn says she and her husband were looking at Greeting Cards and she noticed three aisles of Valentines Day Cards. She asked if we thought people really send out that many cards anymore and what traditions we have for Valentines Day.

Stores probably make money off them so they keep making them. Gifts like Teddy Bears, jewelry, flowers and candy make good presents and you need cards to go with them. It is a lovers' holiday and people get engaged on Valentines Day. I never got anything for Valentines Day until I met my husband. I got some red roses, a card and went to a nice restaurant to eat. If we are out shopping on Valentines Day, I pick out something I want and my husband buys it for me. We go to a movie or out to eat the weekend before or after Valentines Day depending on our schedules. I used to buy my husband a Valentine but he says I don't need to anymore so I haven't been. Men don't get excited about this but they buy nice things for us. I think it is a cute sweet holiday. Some people have their first date on Valentines Day and Cupid shoots his arrow. As long as we have love and lovers, we will always have Valentines Day. We do need Valentines Day Cards. Say it with love and words.
