So far, I'm a little over halfway there, thanks in large part to the fact that some of the books I've already read this year checked off a couple of categories at the same time. I have no idea if that's against the rules, but I'm going to go ahead and count it!
Some of these are going to be pretty hard for me to read. Not necessarily because they're difficult to accomplish, but because I already have so many things on my reading list as it is (and more added on a weekly basis!), it's going to be a real tough choice between one of these and something on my existing list if they don't happen to align. Then again, I guess that's why they call it a challenge, huh? If I had to guess, I bet the ones I'll be trying to cram in at the end of the year because I've avoided them until the last possible moment will be:
A book with antonyms in the title
Mostly I'm just not looking forward to trying to find one.
A book that takes place in my hometown
I might have to settle for the nearest city if I can't find anything set in the small suburb where I grew up.
A book written by an author with the same initials
After a quick search, I can't even find any J.W. authors that I recognize.
Thanks for the challenge, Elle - on hiatus ! I already have a reading challenge to get through 53 books this year, but this adds a new layer of fun complexity. It'll definitely be a tough but hopefully horizon-expanding quest to check off all these boxes by the end of the year! |
