Monday, Get Away Place
BCOF Prompt: Write a poem or story about Monday.
I have no poem or story. Monday. I love the Mamas and Papas song: "Monday, Monday." Monday, Monday, can't trust that day. How could you leave and not take me? These are a couple of lines from the song. Monday. It is the start of a work week. My job, the facility is open 24-7 so there is no start of a work day. A holiday on Monday means a three day weekend for some. There was a restaurant named Mundays years ago in a town close by. They had good food and then the place turned into a greasy dive. Some people hate Mondays. Makes you wonder who named days of the week.
Blog City Prompt: What would it be like to have a secret place, imaginary or real that you could go to, to get away from every day life? What does the landscape look like?
I would like to go sit in on a stone bench by a pond. A big pond. I want the pond surrounded by woods. A few ducks and maybe a swan or two on the pond would be nice. A stone bridge would go over the back half of the pond. There would be flowers of every color. A small wind mill would be on the other side of the pond. I would have an angel statue there as well. This would be a nice get away for me. I could read and just look at the sceenery and fed the ducks and swans.
