Desk, Special Gifts
Prompt: Lyn's husband bought her a desk. She asked what gift we have received that has bought us immense joy and do we have our own writing desk and if not, where do we write??
I don't have my own writing desk. Ray and I have a computer desk. I write at the computer. I wanted my Great Grandma's writing desk after she dies but my grandparents took it and after they died, my aunt and uncle have it now. Jane Austen's father bought her a writing desk and she was so happy. I hope we buy a new desk someday. My husband keeps telling me to go pick one out I like. I am still looking but maybe someday I will find one I like. I haven't looked too hard. Congrats Lyn Lyn's a Witchy Woman   on your new desk.
A friend here Minya sent me a tea pot and tea cups from the Jane Austen Shop and I feel like Jane Austen herself owned them. My connection to Jane.
My husband bought me a cedar hope chest where we keep out bed linen. It is cedar and has a cushion seat on top and I love to sit on it. So does my cat. It is like having a window seat. My husband has bought me dolls. You know I collect dolls. My husband bought me an emerald ring for Christmas one year. When I was in the hospital, my husband this past year, my husband bought me a ballerina Teddy Bear.
My son bought home some pictures of Johnny Depp that he took after meeting Johnny Depp in person. I wish he would have bought Johnny Depp home to me!
My mother bought me a Madame Alexander Cinderella doll. That is special. My cousin gave me her daughter's doll house and I cherish that.
I am spoiled and have a lot of things but now I want a writing desk! Guess I will do some researching.
