Labor Day Weekend
My mother and I went to the Blueberry Festival. They have flea markets there and everything blueberry there. I was disappointed in the flea markets. The one vender with the dolls wasn't there this year. I was hoping to buy a Raggedy Ann doll. Mom hopefully will finish the new version of Raggedy Ann and Andy that she started last year.
My husband and I went to then zoo today. They didn't have any wolves, tiger or elephants. We saw chimpanzees, zebras, donkeys, {I got to pet one. I also pet goats and a brown calf}, a ugly alligator, snakes, turtles, prairie dogs, lions, a mother leopard and a baby, kangaroos, wallabies, Lemers, monkeys, a Bobcat{his name was Gunther and he was happy to see the one keeper and he sat by the window}. The Snow Leopard was hiding. I wanted to see him. The same with the otters. We saw birds, bison, long horned bulls, anteater, wart hogs, ducks and I guess that is it. This is a small zoo but I enjoyed myself.
Of course, I stopped by the Gift Store. I got a stuffed leopard, stuffed owl, stuffed snow leopard, lion slide puzzle in 3D, snow leopard postcards and a blue scarf for my mother. I love going to the zoo.
I work this weekend and my husband and I are having a cook out. How was your Labor Day weekend?
