How to make changes...
If I could change myself, I would not need a Savior.
I John 1:9 tells me that if I will confess my sins to Him, God will cleanse me of all unrighteousness.
What is sin? What is unrighteousness?
For me, sin is anything outside God's will for me. These days, as I deal with my relationship with food, I believe God is prompting me to eat mindfully -- versus watching a video while I eat and other such things.
If that is what God wants for me today and I do otherwise, I choose to count that as sin and acknowledge it to God and look to Him to change me.
That strategy has worked well for me in the past. He has changed me in many different ways over the years -- ways in which I likely would have never been able to change myself.
I thank Him for those changes and the ones to come...
