A Place I Pass By Everyday
BCOF Prompt: Write about a place you pass by every day. Does it make you feel happy or sad?
On the way to work, I go past the high school I went to. I think of the high school dances, plays I was in and friends I had. I think of the classes I set through and the high school Prom. There are good memories and there were some immature jack ass boys and girls who used guys to go to the Prom but I focus on the good memories.
I go past an old gas station that is no longer in business. There is an old police car like Car 64 Where Are You? and a mannequin policeman sitting in the police car. There is a mannequin mechanic working on a 1950 truck. The Marathon symbol is still on the sign outside of the gas station. This is neat.
The furniture store has a giant Life Guard chair that is pink. It is huge. At Halloween, they put a skeleton in it, Christmas, a Santa Claus or stuffed dogs dressed in Santa suits. A stuffed turkey at Thanksgiving. A beach ball in it in the summer time.
I look forward to seeing these things on my way to work.
