The Piper
A lady in waiting. She fell in love
with then piper. He said he loved her, too.
Were following the piper and dance beneath
the moon. He would kiss her and say she was
his one true love. She loved that he played for her.
They were together a lot. One day he left without
warning for another lady in waiting. Heartbroken was
she. She went to the balls and danced with knights but
she was waiting for him to return. She cried a lot.
A knight was sweet on her and she liked him, too but
she missed her piper. The knight was injured in battle
and it didn't look like he was going to make it. He asked
her to marry him. She said: "Yes" to a dying man.
She stayed by the knight and he was calling her name all
the time. She realized she loved him, too. She didn't want
him to die. She played her flute that she had and her knight
was getting better. He was going to live. She was so happy.
Were all following a strange melody. We never know
where we might find true love. She married her knight and the
piper came back but alas he was too late. He continued to
be the piper. The knight and his lady were together forever.
