Pies, Really? Xenophobia
BCOF Prompt: Lyn says she is on a diet. Three pies sat on the counter. Which one do you choose?
I am not a pie eater but if there is a chocolate cream one and peanut butter one, they are mine! These are the only ones I would eat. I would rather have chocolate cake. Pies don't tempt me.
Blog City Prompt: The definition of xenophobia is: we tend to fear what we don't know and we exaggerate what were afraid of. Jot thinks this is how horror evolved from exaggerated thinking. She asked if we agree.
Yes! Like the pilgrims thought everyone was witch. Maybe someone knew how to use herbs to cure a headache. Most everyone is afraid of the supernatural and serial killers. Serial killers. They scare me. Horror pictures about them I can't handle. I like vampires, werewolves and supernatural and the imagination has all kind of twists to stories and they are exaggerated. Aliens, Has anyone really met one? Movies make them look bad except for ET. We think what if. Maybe if aliens really exist and supernatural creatures and we met them, we would know the truth and not exaggerate. I like scary stories but not horror. I even like sci fi lately but don't tell my husband. Everyone loves strange movies and Hollywood keeps making them. We keep feeding our imaginations. I fear diseases and people who are evil. Give me supernatural stories. Exaggerate all you want.
