Day 92 Give It A 100 Summers Past
I was thinking of past summers when I was a kid and stayed with my grandparents during the summer. They lived on a farm in the country and there were flowers growing all over the yard and I would watch butterflies during the day and play with the kitty cats. At night, I would chase lightning bugs but I wouldn't hurt them. I loved hearing whipperwills birds and crickets.

I would go for walks in the woods with my grandfather and helped my grandmother fry bacon or make mac and cheese. Every Sunday Grandma and I went to Church. Grandma loved to go shopping and she would take me and her other 2 granddaughters shopping. Dad was in the military and my mother was with him where they lived and when Dad was in Viet Nam, Mom and I stayed with my grandparents. Those were some good times.

I remember my grandparents taking me to see country and western stars. We saw Marty Robbins, Porter Wagnor, Dolly Parton, Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings just to name a few.

I love sitting on the porch swing and playing my radio. These were some good memories. I will always treasure them.
