Novelists, Real Life, Desolation
Blog City Prompt: "Novelists should never allow themselves to weary of the study of real life." Charlotte Bronte What are your thoughts on this?

We learn from real life and they feed on our fantasies and give us good ideas. I like fiction better then the real world but we have to have a handle on what is going in the real world. Studying real life can help with our writing and writing fictional stories, I get to decide on a happy ending. Charlotte Bronte's world was different 200 years ago but life wasn't a bed of roses and we have to make the best of it like I am sure she did. We need real life to help create our fantasies and fiction so we can go forward to make the world a better place. I love Jane Austen over Charlotte Bronte but they helped paved the way for women writers. Jane loved going to balls and this was the focus for her writing. I am glad to have my fictional world. I do a reality check once a day and back to fiction I go.

BCOF Prompt: "Human beings cannot endure the emptiness and desolation, they will fill the vacuum by creating a new focus of meaning." Karen Armstrong Do you agree or disagree with this statement?

I agree. Look at man trying to find a way to go to Mars and scientists are always coming up with something and curing diseases is important. Saving animals, world peace, crisis, chaos and the world is never quiet. Men will never have emptiness and desolation. If we did then it would be a fight for survival. What? Wait? We have that fight, too.
