Easter

Prompt: Fivesixer asked what we do on Easter.

This Easter, I am sleeping because as you know, I work nights. My mother used to make an Easter dinner with ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, peas, rolls, deviled eggs, peanut butter pie and chocolate cake. Easter dinner doesn't happen anymore and I miss it.

When I have Easter weekend off, I go to Church. My mother used to buy me a chocolate bunny for Easter but after I got married, she quit buying me chocolate bunnies. As a kid, it was fun hunting for Easter eggs and getting Easter baskets.

Easter is Jesus' Day. I say a prayer remembering him. I hope and know he will continue to guide me through life.
