Warrior, Scars
Prompt: "You don't pity a warrior for her scars because scars are proof of survival and victory." Chloe Jones Great and The Lost Army

Joy asked us to write about scars.

I have physical scars from my surgeries: hernia, total hystercetomy and bowel surgeries. I admire Xena, the Warrior Princess and wish I could yield a sword and fight bad, evil men and the scars would be victory. There are other scars.

Like a broken heart. I am sure I have scars there. There are people who hurt me and those scars are in my mind and embedded inside me. If we never got hurt physically or mentally, we wouldn't have scars. I don't brag about my physical or mental scars, we just deal with problems and no one leads a charmed life. Scars are nothing to be ashamed of. It reminds us of who we are.

I watch too many shows about women doing battle like Xena, sci fi movies and I want to be a woman who fights for what she believes is. Scars be damned!
