Taking 15 minutes Or All Day
Prompt: Watching "Heartland, Ty was training his horse and it wasn't going well. His girlfriend Amy's grandfather, owner of the ranch, said: "If you act like you just have 15 minutes, it will take you all day to train that horse. If you act like you have all day, you can have him trained in 15 minutes." So, with that in mind, what things have you done that took all day or just 15 minutes? What was your frame of mind trying to get these things done?
My mother helped me put Bible index tabs in my Bible and it took 3 hours! We thought it would just take an hour. My husband and I took a half hour to put up the tree and it takes me 2 hours to get the ornaments on. I love doing my tree but it is a hard task at times. I had sinus issues and felt lightheaded, so I took a lot of breaks.
Scrapbooking can take me a half hour to a hour. Cleaning house takes 2 hours. Changing and washing bed sheets take 4 hours. My frame of mind? I love scrapbooking but I don't like doing housework. I get things done. I have never trained a horse but I imagine it would take me a week.
Like when I worked, passing midnight/AM Meds took 30 minutes and passing meds before breakfast would take an hour and you didn't have all day for that. Arguing with patients, it was hard. I don't miss that.
Planting flowers take a half hour. I like getting things done in 15 minutes but I need at least a half hour!
