April, A Cruel Month
I hear April is a cruel month. I agree.
April is prevent animal abuse and cruelty. Yes!
It needs to stop! Be kind to animals. Adopt a pet.
Quit hunting beautiful leopards and all animals! Please!

It is National Poetry Month. I am trying to write a few
poems. I like prose. Maybe I am too lazy to rhyme. I find
it easier to write prose. I enjoy reflections and feeling
relaxed. I can tell a good story in prose form I think.

Prince died in April two years ago. I am holding a contest
in his memory. When it rains, I think of purple rain and
Prince. He was one of the greatest singers. I love him. He
loved purple and I do, too. I am sorry we lost Prince.

It seems to snow this month and usually it is just rain.
Where is spring? April, quit being cruel. Give us gentle
rain, no storm and help us to feel warm. Let the flowers
grow and let the sun shine. April be nice and sweet.

I read books. I go to church. I wait for sunny days. I want
to go shopping, go to zoo, visit Michigan, do a dance that
winter is over. Will you let us have spring? April be kind.
Let the light of summer shine through and April, we will love you.

A beautiful Sig of me by best friend Angel for St. Pats Day.
