I Love Going To Barnes and Nobles
I love going to Barnes and Nobles which is
over a half hour away from me. I come in the door and
go look to see what the new arrivals are. I will go
to the magazines and pick up issues of Pioneer Woman
and Country Living. Star Bucks Café is calling me.
I get my bottle of Diet Pepsi and a Spanish Lady
says: "Hey! Pretty lady, how are you today?" I smile
and wave and tell her I am fine. This woman is here
every time I am with her male friend. He nods his head.
The girl behind the counter has green hair and last time
it was lavender and I see her all the time. She asks if
I am having my black forest cupcake today. Does she know
me or what? I tell her yes. She says she likes my headband.
I wear decorative headbands all the time. Sometimes, I
get a bowl of soup. I take my Diet Pepsi and my cupcake
and go to a table and pour over the magazines and take out
my Nook and read a book for an hour. After an hour, time to go.
I stop to look at the bargain books. Most of the time, I buy a
book or two or maybe go to the DVDs and sometimes, I get a movie.
I pay for what I buy. Sometimes, I have a Doctor's Appointment or
go to Kohls or Sephora to buy make up or go to Hobby Lobby.
I am leaving the store where Jane Austen, Shakespeare, Danielle Steel
and other authors live. I will be back for more cupcakes and books
and greet people who are happy to see me. This is one of my favorite
stores and I can never leave town without stopping at Barnes and Nobles.
